It dosen't say what criteria it uses to determine that. Heck, even if you're not a client of SWBell, that's where to start, imo.
I'm able to send to the address using my home ISP email, just the one here at work is having this problem.
This is the first time we have seen this type of error. In the past few weeks we have made some changes to our network: Like: We added the Xwall spam filter and changed ISP's, changing ISP's required us to reconfigure our Firewall.(Watchguard Firebox 700) Any of that info help?
absolutly not a relay issue, it seems you have inconsistancy with the information store, is this error happening from any user in your company sending to that address or it is a specific to a mailbox? Most likely your system is listed in one of the many Block Lists.
I think you're focusing on your own config - which in my experience, isn't appropriate. Sure, checking for syntatic correctness of the (entirely forgeable) senders' email address is nice - but rather futile. Look, SMTP is just a TCP session that goes from ONE ip address to ONE other IP address.
You should be focusing on whatever is going on at that one remote system. There are pre-defined and standardized (mostly) commands used during that session.

I tried this from my home as well (ADSL connection using a linksys router, exchange 2k with no spam filtering software) and I get the same results. It's the remote system rejecting the mail, correct? In the post previous to yours, I mentioned that I was wondering if there was possibly a problem with the remote server not being able to validate our mail server thru the firewall.
